It was a very artsy day at the teen center this week. As the date approaches for the Frenchtown Heritage Festival, we had a lot of planning to do. The first thing that we did was review our edited taste test video, which was a hit!
Afterwards, we started planning out the banners for our booths at the Frenchtown Heritage Festival. We had to create one for Palmer Monroe Teen Center and another for our video project. We titled the second banner “Frenchtown Storybooth”.
The majority of our session, however, was creating and practicing our interview questions for the participants that came by our Storybooth. We wanted to gain an understanding of how locals felt about Frenchtown and issues of food access within the community. We talked about what we wanted to know, wrote our questions on the blackboard and then had mock interviews with each other to perfect our interviewing skills.
We are beyond excited to participate in the Frenchtown Heritage Festival tomorrow and we look forward to seeing what people have to say about the community!
